The knife sharpening whetstone is double-sided; coarse side grit is for refining the dull edge and the fine side grit is then used to polish the blade, which will give a mirror-like finish.

Whetstone Knife Sharpening Instructions

1. Soak the whetstone in water for 5 minutes to absorb water before use.

2. Place sharpening whetstone on the bamboo non-slip base.

3. Ensure the knife angle is between 10~30 degree angle, using the angle guide.

4. Sharpen the blade by rough grinding using the 1000 grit side for 5-10 minutes.

5. Use the 6000 gritstone to strengthen the knife blade, grinding for between 5-10 minutes.
6. Use a soft brush to clean the stone and dry.
